When is my estimated tax payment due?
For estimated tax purposes, the year is divided into four payment periods. Each period has a specific payment due date. If you don’t pay enough tax by the due date of each payment period, you may be charged a penalty even if you’re due a refund when you file your income tax return at the end of the year.
You may send estimated tax payments with Form 1040-ES by mail, pay online, by phone or from your mobile device using the IRS2Go app. Visit Payments to view all payment options.
Payment Period | Due Date |
---|---|
January 1 – March 31 | April 15 |
April 1 – May 31 | June 15 |

When will LG be sending out this year's tax worksheet/organizer?
Our tax worksheet/organizer is typically distributed mid to late January. Please note that if your contact information has changed (mailing address, email address, phone, etc.), you may update that here: https://larsongross.com/update-contact-info/
This tax worksheet/organizer is long! Is it necessary?
While our tax worksheet/organizer may be extensive, filling it out completely not only ensures that we have all of the necessary information to properly finalize your return, it also aids in efficiency as it allows us to digitally upload your information into our system, saving us time (and you, money!).
What is a tax Power of Attorney (POA)? Is it required?
A tax power of attorney, commonly referred to as Form 2848, is a legal document that authorizes you to appoint a tax professional to handle your tax matters and represent you before the IRS. This authorization allows the appointed representative to perform tasks such as filing tax returns, communicating with the IRS, accessing your confidential tax information, and representing you during audits or other tax-related issues.
While having a tax power of attorney is not mandatory, it is recommended in situations where you prefer or need someone else to manage your tax affairs. This document ensures that your designated representative has the authority to fully act on your behalf. Without a tax power of attorney, a tax professional’s ability to assist you may be restricted, particularly in complex matters like audits or disputes with tax authorities. Therefore, although not required, it is a valuable tool that can facilitate more effective representation.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
Are you currently accepting new clients?
Larson Gross is always eager to build new relationships with individuals and businesses where we can provide meaningful value. Please complete our “Get in Touch Form” to see if we are currently accepting clients with needs like yours.
Do I have to fill out the Get in Touch Form? Can I talk to someone today?
Yes. Because our team members provide services in a wide variety of speciality areas, we use the information collected on that form to ensure your questions/comments are routed to the appropriate individual who can best serve you. Typically, you will hear back from one of our team members within 3-4 business days.
What are your fees?
There are many factors that directly affect our service costs, however, a typical individual tax return starts around $1200 and a business tax return around $2000.
Can I contact your Wenatchee or Lynden office directly?
All of our offices are connected to the same telephone number. However, we can easily transfer you to the office location of your choice.
Does LG send my tax information off shore to have my return completed? I am confused by language found in my Agreement Letter.
Larson Gross may use team members or outsourcing professionals located outside of the United States for certain tasks in the tax return preparation process, which is why you see language about disclosing your information in your Agreement Letter. This is governed by IRS rules under Internal Revenue Code Section 7216, which requires your consent if your information is shared with individuals or teams located outside of the U.S., such as employees in Canada or outsourcing partners in countries like the Philippines.
However, Larson Gross remains in full control of the tax preparation, review, and final delivery of your return. Your information is handled with the same strong security measures whether the work is done domestically or internationally. If you’re uncomfortable, you can opt out, and Larson Gross will exclude your information from being shared outside the U.S. without impacting your service.
If you have any specific concerns, it may be helpful to review the 7216 Disclosure Consent form with your tax preparer.
Does LG help with Quickbooks?
Yes! We do offer support for QuickBooks, including assistance for clients and ad-hoc consulting. However, if it is a software-specific question we refer those inquiries to Intuit.
Can I drop documents off after hours?
